Spring Ephemerals: Woodland Wildflowers Plant Walk & Meditation Series

  • Equinox Botanical Sanctuary 33446 McCumber Road Rutland, Ohio United States (map)

As the forest awakens and spring ephemerals begin to bloom, join Lonnie Galt-Theis for a special four-week series to some of the most beautiful places at Equinox Botanical Sanctuary, and one session at the United Plant Savers Botanical Sanctuary, both in Rutland, Ohio.

Each week, you’ll immerse yourself in the beauty and magic of early spring — the delicate blossoms, birdsong, and gentle sound of trickling forest streams.

Learn about each flower’s basic botany, natural history, folklore, and medicinal uses, and deepen your connection through a plant attunement meditation with its corresponding flower essence.

Experience the spirit and healing frequencies of these beloved early spring wildflowers, guided by Lonnie’s deep relationship with the land. For the past 13 years (and truly, throughout her life), she has explored and studied the forests of Equinox and UpS Sanctuaries, carefully tracking the timing and place of these special spring blooms.

Expect to encounter vibrant populations of Bloodroot, White and Yellow Trout Lilies, Dutchman’s Breeches, Hepatica, Wild Ginger, Spring Beauties, Rue Anemone, Jacob’s Ladder, and so much more — a celebration of the ephemeral magic of spring.

2026 Dates: Four Saturdays, 9:00 am - 11:00 am: March 28, April 4, April 11, and April 18.

Small Group: limited to 8 participants.

Cost: $100
